WHAT: Jesus Was a Low-Wage Worker
WHEN: Thursday, November 17 2005 07:00 PM
TICKET PRICE: FREE, RSVP required below

Jesus was a low-wage worker, just like too many workers in the United States today. Wal-Mart is the largest corporation in the world and the employer of millions of low-wage workers. It has the power and influence to set a standard for fair workplace practices, but instead, Wal-Mart engages in systematic abuses of workers. Embark with us on a campaign that is about encouraging Wal-Mart to become a more responsible and justice-oriented company. In Coordination with the UCC Justice and Witness Ministries, First Congregational Church, UCC is hosting a free public screening of Robert Greenwald's documentary; "Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price," on Thursday, November 17 at 7:30 PM in the church's Fellowship Hall. The film is a poignant, visual example of the effects Wal-Mart has on our country, our families, our economy and our future. We hope it will educate, inspire and motivate viewers.
